IIT Roorkee: Admissions open

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has invited applications for admissions to its two-year Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programs offered in various disciplines for the academic session 2016-17.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualifications:

M.Tech- Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering or its equivalent.
M.Arch- The candidates should have a Bachelor of architecture (B.Arch) degree or its equivalent.
A minimum aggregate score of 60 percent or 6.00 CGPA on 10 point scale for general and OBC candidates and 55 percent or 5.50 CGPA on 10 point scale for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD at the qualifying degree is essential.

Selection procedure:

The candidates would be selected for admission to the various programmes on the basis of either normalized GATE marks only or normalised GATE marks and interview/written test.

How to apply:

For admission to PG programmes of 2016, candidates need to register and fill the application online only through the official website, the link for which is http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in from March 21, 2016 till April 10, 2016.
The application process would be considered completed only when a print out of the filled online application with the candidate's signature and a good quality photo affixed in the appropriate places is sent to the 'PG Admission office, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee - 247667' along with the challan form and necessary documents.

Application fees:

Candidates belonging to general and OBC category need to pay an application fee of Rs. 400/- and those belonging to PD/SC/ST categories have to pay Rs 20/- along with Rs 100 (for each additional department).
