IMU CET 2016: Registrations to commence April 1

Indian Maritime University (IMU)

Indian Maritime University (IMU), Uthandi has released the exam dates for the IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) scheduled for June 4. The eligible candidates should apply online latest by May 13.

Educational qualification:
BTech/BSc programme: Candidates should have passed class 12 from a recognised board or institute.

MHT CET 2016 Paper pattern

MTech programme: Candidates should be a graduate in Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical/Marine/Naval Architecture or equivalent from a recognised university or institute.

MBA programme: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.

How to apply: The eligible candidates should apply through online mode, the link for the same is http://www.imu.edu.in/

Application fee:The general and SC/ST candidates can make the payment of Rs 1,000 and Rs 700 respectively, for the registration process.

MHT CET 2016 Paper pattern

Maharashtra government's State Common Entrance Test

Maharashtra government's State Common Entrance Test Cell will be conducting the MHT CET 2016 for admissions to degree courses of health sciences (MBBBS, BDS, BAMS BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BA SLP, BP&O and B.Sc Nursing, BV.Sc and AH) and Technical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharm. D) for the academic year 2016-17.

The MHT CET 2016 exams are scheduled to be held on May 5, 2016.

Paper pattern:

• The MHT-CET-2016 will consist of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks

• Paper1 will comprise physics and chemistry and will carry 50 marks each. All the questions will carry 1 mark each and there will be 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) for every subject

• Paper 2 will comprise biology (botany) and biology (zoology) and will carry 50 marks each. All the questions will carry 1 mark each and there will be 50 MCQs for every subject

• Paper 3 will have mathematics and will carry 100 marks. All the questions will carry 2 mark each and will have 50 MCQs

• There will be no choice between questions i.e. candidates will have to answer all the questions

• The candidates will have to choose one option as their answer from the four choices provided. Each correct answer will be marked. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers

• Candidates should be sure of the answers before marking them in the OMR sheet as changing an answer is not allowed. In case an answer is changed, it will be marked as invalid/incorrect response.

MAH MBA CET Exam 2016: Syllabus out

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) for Master in Business Administration (MBA) 2016 will be held in the state on March 12th and 13th.

 The syllabus for the examination is out for candidates to prepare well before giving the exams. This test will enable candidates to take admission to more than 200 colleges.The examination would take place online across different centres set by the organisation.

The details of the MAH MBA CET Exam 2016 are as follows:

Quantitative Aptitude: This section of the paper will have questions related to arithmetic problems and basic mathematical questions to test mathematics know how of students, simple calculations, ratio and proportions and percentages.

Verbal Ability: This section will judge the overall knowledge of the English language. There would be questions from basic English grammar, vocabulary and sentence formation skills etc.
 Logical Reasoning: This is one of the most important parts of the test as it will test the ability of the candidates to take instant decision based on logic. It will also test the instant thinking capacity of the brain with questions on sequencing, logic formation, pattern finding and other reasoning problems
 Abstract Reasoning: This paper is similar to logical reasoning. Like logical reasoning, this portion tests the logical capability of the candidates as well, but abstract reasoning is tested more through the figure based questions. Candidates are also asked questions related to figurative tendency, structural pattern and nonlinear images.

Overall, there would be four topics on which candidates would be tested on. The total duration of the exam is set to be 150 minutes.
