The SRM University has extended the slot booking for the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEE) 2016 till April 3.
The exam is scheduled from April 19 to 25.
The paper will consist of objective type questions divided into the following parts:
Part 1: Mathematics for 105 marks
Part 2: Physics for 105 marks
Part 3: Chemistry for 105 marks
Part 4: Biology for 105 marks
Every wrong answer in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics carried negative marking of 1 mark. Negative marking of 0.7 mark will be done in Biology.

About SRMJEE:It is a national level exam conducted for admissions in SRM University. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)  is scheduled to be conducted on May 8 by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Patiala in online mode.
The registrations are on till March 31; those candidates who are interested and eligible have just two more days left to submit their application form.
Unlike last year, this year, there has been an increase in the number of seats from 2220 to 2252 seats in 16 national law universities.
Other law colleges will also grant admission to candidates on the basis of their CLAT score.

The Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi has released a notification for admission in various engineering programmes for the academic year 2016. All the interested, eligible candidates are requested to apply for all courses on or before June 9.
Educational qualification:
B.Tech:  All the candidates applying for this course must have completed their Senior Secondary (12th /intermediate) examination with mathematics and Physics compulsory with one subject out of the following: Computer Science, Chemistry, and Electronics from CBSE or any other Board with minimum 50 percent / Equivalent CGPA.
M.Tech CSE: All the candidates applying for this course must have completed Bachelor of Technology (B. The  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kanpur  has released an admission notification,  inviting interested, eligible  applications for admission to Master of Technology (M. Tech), Master of Science (MS), Master of Design (M. Des) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) programmes for the commencing academic session.
Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:
Master of Design (M. Des): All the candidates interested in applying for this course should have the Bachelor's degree in engineering with Design or Architecture with marks/ Cumulative Performance Index  (CPI) not below the specified minimum.
Master of Technology (M. Tech) : All  the candidates interested in applying for this course should have the Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or the Master's degree in science with marks/ CPI not below the minimum required.
Ph.D. in Sciences: All the candidates applying for this course need to have a  master's degree in the relevant subject or a bachelor's degree in engineering or science with a valid GATE score or must have qualified  Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Selection procedure:

IIT Roorkee: Admissions open

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has invited applications for admissions to its two-year Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programs offered in various disciplines for the academic session 2016-17.


Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualifications:

M.Tech- Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering or its equivalent.
M.Arch- The candidates should have a Bachelor of architecture (B.Arch) degree or its equivalent.
A minimum aggregate score of 60 percent or 6.00 CGPA on 10 point scale for general and OBC candidates and 55 percent or 5.50 CGPA on 10 point scale for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD at the qualifying degree is essential.

Selection procedure:

The candidates would be selected for admission to the various programmes on the basis of either normalized GATE marks only or normalised GATE marks and interview/written test.

For admission to PG programmes of 2016, candidates need to register and fill the application online only through the official website, the link for which is http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in from March 21, 2016 till April 10, 2016.

 JIPMER originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823.This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India.  This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).The institute is headed by Director as its Chief Executive charged with overall responsibility of running the institute and hospital administration.JIPMER were asked to nominate one member for creating an innovative multidisciplinary team which will work towards improving patient safety and quality of health care at JIPMER. Close to seventy members were nominated by each department and divisions of the hospital. As an initial step, these members were trained by an In-house CME and Workshop with internal and external faculties as resource persons in 20th October 2012. After the initial orientation and training through CME cum workshop, JIPMER Quality Council (JQC) was created by our Director on the same day

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

The candidates interested in applying for this programme must possess a first class (or equivalent) Bachelor of Law LL.B./B.L. (5 years) degree from any recognised university.OrMust have secured a first class (or equivalent) Bachelor of Law LL.B./B.L.(three  years) programme from any recognised university along with a Bachelor's degree (not less than 3 years) in Humanities/ Science/ Commerce or equivalent. Students having LL.B (Hons.) in Intellectual Property Law from the IIT Kharagpur with CGPA of 8.5 or above are eligible for admission without appearing in the All India Common Entrance Examination (CET).

JNCASR, Bangalore has invited eligible candidates  for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Engineering and Integrated Ph.D, and Master of Science (M.S) program by research for the academic year 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Ph.D Programs:

The candidates with a degree in these discipline, including Master of Science(M. Sc), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Technology(B Tech) , Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)/  Master of Engineering (M E), Master of Technology (M. Tech) or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), are eligible to apply.

They should have at least 50 percent marks in their highest university examination and should also have qualified in the GATE / Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) / UGC / Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) - National Eligibility Test (NET) - Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)/Indian Council of Medical  Research (ICMR) - JRF /  DBT-JRF/JEST / INSPIRE (Fellowship).

The certificate of these examinations should be validity 1 January 2016. Generally, ME/M.Tech students are required to qualify one of the exams mentioned above, however, exceptional candidates without these exams might be considered, too.


For M.S (Engineering)/M.S (Research) Programs:

The candidates with the degree of M.Sc, B E, B Tech, B.Pharm. M E, M Tech or MBBS are eligible to apply. They should have at least 50 percent marks in their degree programme and should also have qualified in the GATE / Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) /UGC/ Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)-NET-JRF / ICMR - JRF / DBT-JRF/JEST /INSPIRE(JRF).

VIT University releases VITMEE exam dates

VIT University, Vellore has published the examination dates for VIT Master's Entrance Examination (VITMEE). The exam is scheduled to be held on June 4 and June 5.
